Does your school or organisation social media feel overwhelming?

Trust me, it's not you.

Most schools and organisations care deeply about communication, but are trying to manage:

• Safeguarding responsibilities
• Media consent
• Staff confidence
• Ofsted expectations
• Reputation risk
• Limited time

Without a clear framework, social media and websites quickly become reactive instead of meaningful.

The challenge isn’t effort.
It’s trying to fit communication around everything else you already do.
A clear structure simply makes it manageable.

Some Questions previous clients had when choosing a social media service

Is this social media management?

No.
This is guidance, training and structure, so your staff can manage communication confidently in-house without relying on an agency.

How do I know which service is right for us?

Choose an Accounts Audit
If you’re unsure whether your current accounts are safe or compliant.
Best when you want reassurance before becoming more active online.

Choose a Strategy Session
If your accounts are fine but staff don’t know what to post or how often.
Best for creating a clear, manageable plan you can follow internally.

Choose a Full Strategy & Plan
If you want a complete communication framework with guidance, structure and handover support.

Best when multiple staff are involved or communication currently feels inconsistent.

Is a website or social media more important?

They serve different purposes.

Your website is your official information source and must meet statutory requirements. Social media supports communication, visibility and engagement.

They should work together, not replace each other.

Do we need Facebook, Instagram and everything else?

No. Schools benefit more from using one or two platforms well than trying to be everywhere.
Part of the process is deciding what you don’t need, so communication stays manageable.

What are the risks of running school social media without guidance?

The most common risks are:

• staff posting inconsistently
• unclear consent use
• multiple admins with no control
• complaints from parents
• reputational damage

Most issues happen unintentionally due to lack of structure rather than wrongdoing.

Can social media be used as Ofsted evidence?

Yes. When used properly, social media can support evidence of:

• enrichment
• community engagement
• curriculum experiences
• pupil participation

However, it should never replace internal records and must remain safeguarding-appropriate.
